Medford Knife M-48

The Medford M-48 is a homage to the American M-48 Patton combat tank from the 50s. The handle has a milled pattern that matches the tracks of this tank. Greg Medford designed the M-48 as an EDC knife. It is suitable both for first responders and for Medford enthusiasts who prefer a slim pocket knife. 100% made in the United States, from American materials, by a veteran-run company.

The CPM S45VN steel blade has a hand-sharpened hollow grind. This is a unique feature: hardly any producers apply grinds by hand. Medford, however, took it one step further by giving the M-48 their new Magnus Edged Tip technology. This is a grind where you don't take away much material at the tip. The result is a sturdy tip, despite the slim blade.

CPM S45VN is a premium stainless steel. It has been one of the most popular types of steel on the market for many years. For a stainless steel, it is fairly tough and relatively easy to sharpen.

You easily open the blade with the flipper. When opened, a solid frame lock keeps the blade in place. The handle has an overtravel stop that prevents you from pushing the frame lock out too far. Medford has pressed the stop-pin into the blade. As a result, it rests nice and symmetrically against the handle. This also adds strength.

This version has a yellow aluminium handle.  There is a deep-carry pocket clip at the end of the handle. The clip can also be turned for left-handed use. A feature you don't often see on a Medford knife.
